Survivors of an epidemic which causes the infected to turn into flesh-eating zombies take refuge in a shopping mall. In addition to battling the undead, they also have to tackle problems from within. This remake of George A. Romero’s 1978 sequel to Night of the Living Dead soups up the zombies, cranks up the gross factor to 11, and has a lot of cheeky in-jokes about its predecessor. When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth. That’s the only explanation given for why zombies have replaced the living as the dominant species in Milwaukee.
